  • The participant will be able to correctly identify the indications and contraindications for a rapid sequence induction.
  • The participant will be able to explain the appropriate selection of anesthetic agent, and neuromuscular relaxant.
  • The participant will understand the side effects and contraindications for use of the chosen medications.
  • The participant will be familiar with the recommended equipment needed at the bedside to safely complete a rapid sequence induction.
  • The participant will be able to explain the differences between the pediatric and adult RSI.
  • The participant will be able to identify the failed airway attempt and then intervene appropriately.
